Summer vacation is quickly approaching and parents are entering into panic-mode because they don’t know what to do with their young ones. The kids think it’s time to sleep all day, not shower, eat junk food and spend their entire days playing video games.
We need to take advantage of this time and create the opportunity for them to discover, experience and grow in their responsibilities. The goal is for our kids to grow in wisdom and knowledge, in stature and in favor with God and men.
Vacations are an opportunity to do things we would not regularly do. Visit museums, botanical gardens, ecological sights and fun places that offer knowledge and new experiences.
I have the goal to teach my children how to cook this summer. They need to learn to prepare their own food, as it is very useful for them in life and a good thing when they are alone.
